In 1970, Patagonia was established by mountaineer, environmentalist and businessman Yvon Chouinard. Patagonia was developed through an interest in mountain climbing and has been part of their development since the 60s. Patagonia has been developed by people who are passionate about being in nature, therefore they also want to take care of it. They work to create new, better materials regardless of durability, breathability, weight etc. Today they are known for clothing, shoes and backpacks for climbing, surfing, skiing, snowboarding, running and fly fishing.
